How to Use Myelin

Submitting Feedback

To submit feedback or share your thoughts, simply type /vent in any Slack channel. This will open a private modal where you can enter your feedback securely and anonymously.

Privacy

Your privacy is our top priority. The Myelin Engine, built in C++, sanitizes all submitted input by stripping identifiers and sensitive information. We only extract the core sentiment and topic, ensuring that no personally identifiable information is sent to admins.

Threaded Follow-ups

If admins need to follow up on your feedback, they can reply to your submission. You'll receive a direct message from the Myelin app, allowing you to continue the conversation 100% anonymously. Your identity remains completely protected throughout the entire process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can my boss see that I used the /vent command?

No. Slash commands in Slack are only visible to the user who types them. Your use of the /vent command is completely private and will not appear in any channel or to any other users.

How do I uninstall Myelin?

Workspace admins can remove Myelin at any time by navigating to the Slack App Directory, managing their installed apps, and clicking "Remove App" under the Myelin settings.

What data does Myelin store?

Myelin only temporarily processes message data through our C++ engine to generate the sanitized summary. We do not store raw, identifiable employee messages in our database.
